SEASIDE HEIGHTS – First Night Ocean County will be back noon to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 31 on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.

First Night is a family-centric, alcohol-free celebration at locations throughout the United States. In Seaside Heights, a $5 wristband per person gets them into First Night activities at four arcades: Casino Pier, Coin Castle, Luck Leo’s, and Shake Shoppe. Families can also enjoy face painters, caricaturists, balloon artists, magicians, crafts, jugglers, and carousel rides. Children receive additional gifts at most venues.

Captain Jack from JerseyShoreCountry.com internet radio will be broadcasting live from two arcades. Hula Hoop performer Hoopslinger will be at another arcade all afternoon.

The evening is capped with 5 p.m. fireworks on the beach, weather permitting.

Guests who purchase a wristband and passport, and have the passport stamped at all four arcades, will be entered in a drawing for a children’s or adult gift basket.

Wristbands are available at County Connection in the Ocean County Mall (cash or check only), at 1214 Boulevard in Seaside Heights between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, or at participating arcades while open during the week, and also during the event.

On-street parking and parking in municipal parking lots is free during the event.
