JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST – The sounds of freedom will be booming, starting Friday the 13th.
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst issued a statement on its Facebook page, alerting residents in Burlington, Ocean and Monmouth counties of its mortar training on its ranges. The training will start July 13 and run through July 18.
Officials reminded residents that cloud cover enables the booms to travel further and sound louder.
