Are You Registered To Vote?

OCEAN COUNTY – Ocean County residents can choose to recognize today as National Voter Registration Day by registering for the upcoming general election! The general election will take place on November 6, 2018. The deadline to register by is October 16, 21 days prior to the election.

You can register to vote if you are:

  • a U.S. citizen
  • at least 18 years of age by election day
  • a resident of New Jersey and Ocean County at least 30 days before the election.

Ocean County residents can find voter registration forms on the county website at co.ocean.nj.us/ElectionBoard/ContentPage.aspx?ID=164.

Once registered, find your local polling place at voter.njsvrs.com/PublicAccess/jsp/PollPlace/PollPlaceSearch.jsp.

The Ocean County Clerk’s Office in Stafford also has mail in ballots available in hard copy.
You can walk in and pick one up at the Stafford location at the Southern Service Center, or download one from the website at clerk.co.ocean.nj.us/CountyClerk/ElectionServices.aspx#VOTE.

For those who wish to obtain mail in ballots, the application must be returned to the County Clerk 7 days prior to the election. You can also apply in person to the Clerk’s office until 3 p.m. on the day before the election.
