One Injured, Another Dead In Motorcycle Accident

  FREEHOLD – A man was injured and his passenger was killed in a motorcycle accident on May 22 in Aberdeen, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

  At approximately 8 p.m., Charles G. Romer, 21, of Carteret, and his passenger, Jessica Czajkowski 20, of Woodbridge, were traveling northbound on Amboy Road on a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when the accident occurred. The pair was approaching the intersection of Prospect Avenue when they struck a 2004 Nissan Sentra, driven by 49-year old Hugo Bautista Eufracio Alejandro of Keyport.

  Both Romer and Czajkowski were ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the collision and later taken to local hospitals.

  Both sustained life-threatening injuries and Czajkowski was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 8:42 p.m.

  Alejandro sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment before being released.
