FREEHOLD – A local man was sentenced to six years in prison for distributing child sexual abuse materials, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Kevin Long, 28, of Oceanport, was sentenced Friday by Superior Court Judge Richard W. English. Long pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to one count of endangering the welfare of a child involving the distribution of child pornography.
He was arrested last year after prosecutor’s office detectives found child sexual abuse files on his personal electronic devices that he apparently distributed via peer-to-peer file sharing programs.
Once released, Long will have to register under the provisions of Megan’s Law.
