OCEAN TOWNSHIP – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving an Ocean Township police vehicle that took place on Monday.
Around 9:08 p.m., an on-duty Ocean Township police officer and multiple civilian cars were involved in an accident on Route 35 South, near Sunset Avenue. The crash resulted in the death of a man operating a motorized scooter, who was pronounced deceased on scene. The involved officer and other drivers did not sustain injuries, officials said.
At this time, the victim’s identify has not been released.
