Bicyclist Killed In Crash Under Investigation

MONMOUTH COUNTY – Authorities are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a male bicyclist Monday night in Neptune, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced.

Police were called to the area of Corlies Avenue (Route 33 West) and South Main Street (Route 71) at about 7:05 p.m. on October 6 after reports of a crash involving a bicycle and a motor vehicle.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The investigation is being conducted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the county’s Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Neptune Township Police Department.
