MANCHESTER — A 20-year-old Manchester Township man has been charged in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries reported last month in the Pine Lake Park section of the township, police said.

Manchester Township police responded on November 10 to multiple complaints of cars being entered overnight in the neighborhood. Patrol officers were assisted at the scene by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit.

Detectives later reviewed surveillance footage obtained from the area and released images to the public in an effort to identify those responsible. Police said tips from residents, combined with video evidence, helped investigators identify both the suspects and a vehicle believed to have been used during the incidents.

The investigation resulted in charges against David J. Museliani, 20, of Manchester Township. Police also identified two juveniles — a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy — in connection with the burglaries.

Museliani was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and theft, along with using a person under the age of 17 to commit a criminal offense. He was released on summonses in accordance with New Jersey’s bail reform laws, authorities said.

The two juveniles will be processed through the juvenile justice system in accordance with state guidelines and directives from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

Police credited cooperation from the community for helping move the investigation forward and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity. Authorities also reminded the public to lock vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside.

Anyone with additional information related to the case is urged to contact the Manchester Township Police Department.

All charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
