Man Who Fled Fatal Car Accident Will Remain Jailed

  WHITING – A Manchester man who fled the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident will remain detained, authorities said.

  Kevin Noonan, 62, of Manchester was arrested on April 13 for his involvement in a car crash that resulted in the death of pedestrian Jack Gotfried, 69, of Whiting.

  Noonan is pending trial on charges of Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Death and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Driver’s License while being involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Death,

  Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Noonan shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail.

  The public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
