MANCHESTER – The cause of a garage fire is still under investigation, according to first responders.
The fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, located on the 400 block of Horicon Avenue. The roadway was closed while the fire was being fought.
The Whiting Fire Company was the first to arrive, containing it to the garage, officials said. Engines from Manchester, Ridgeway, Lakehurst, and the Joint Base assisted on the call as well as Manchester Police, the Ocean County Fire Coordinator and the Ocean County Fire Marshall.
A propane tank was exposed to the fire, but there were no reported injuries, officials said. There were three cars in the driveway, which sustained minor damage.
