MANCHESTER – Police said there were no serious injuries after a vehicle collided with Lubrano’s Pizzeria.

The incident took place at 9:16 a.m. on Feb. 26 in the Hudson City Plaza on Route 70, police said.

The driver, Ruth Aboff, 91, of Manchester, was backing into a parking space in her 2011 Toyota Camry when she collided with the passenger’s side of a 2010 Ford Edge. Then, she went forward, striking the parking block and curb and driving over the sidewalk and into the restaurant.

She was treated at the scene and taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment and evaluation, but her injuries were described as non-life threatening. The restaurant was closed at the time, but due to the damage it was ordered to be closed until it could be deemed safe by the town’s building inspector.

Patrolman Jesse Hoydis and Patrolman Ian Bole are investigating the crash. Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company and Quality Medical Transport responded.
