LAKEHURST — A brush fire that broke out behind Lake Horicon was quickly brought under control after it was spotted and reported.
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service, Ridgeway and Manchester fire departments, Manchester First Aid, Manchester police and Lakehurst police responded to the area on May 8.
Officials credited the quick report with helping crews contain the fire before it could spread further. Additional responders assisted at the rear of the lake.
No injuries were reported.
