JACKSON – After possible suspicious activity with the guest lockers, Six Flags Great Adventure Hurricane Harbor was temporarily locked down today.

Both the Jackson Township Police and New Jersey State Police were called to Hurricane Harbor after a safety concern was brought to the attention to park management, police said.

A routine safety check was conducted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, causing the main entrance to Hurricane Harbor to temporarily close, Kristin B Fitzgerald, spokesperson for Six Flags, said

“There was the possibility of something suspicious at their guest lockers, which was investigated and determined to be completely unfounded,” Jackson Police Chief Matthew D. Kunz said.

Hurricane Harbor’s entrance is now reopened.
