Police Seek Witnesses To Serious Crash

  JACKSON – Police are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that landed one driver in the hospital.

  On Sept. 8, police responded to the intersection of Cedar Swamp Road and W. Commodore Blvd. for reports of a serious accident.

  According to police, 74-year old William Hearon of Jackson was traveling west on Commodore Blvd. in a 2018 Kia Forte when he failed to stop for the red traffic signal at the intersection. James Miller, 51, also of Jackson was traveling south on Cedar Swamp Road in a 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup when he entered the intersection, colliding with Hearon’s vehicle.

  Hearon suffered multiple injuries and was transported via MEDEVAC to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

  Miller and his two passengers, 52-year old Barbara Miller in the front and a 14-year old child in the rear, were checked and released at the scene.

  Jackson Police continue to investigate the incident and are seeking any witnesses. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.
