Michael Stallworth, 33, of Arcadia Court, Jackson, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

Kareem Reeves, 31, of East Spruce Street, Lakewood, was charged with aggravated assault.

The incident took place on June 21 at around 11:20 p.m. Police said they responded to a South Cooks Bridge Road residence on the report of a disturbance.

A victim, a 28-year-old man, had been assaulted. He told police that he and a female had been at an earlier event with the suspects and left, coming back to the South Cooks Bridge Road home. As they were sitting in their vehicle, another vehicle pulled up. A man got out and knocked on the window, telling the victim to leave his vehicle. When he did, he was punched and a fight ensued.

As the two fell to the ground fighting, a second suspect ran up and struck the victim in the head. He was stomped and kicked in the head and face. Jewelry, a watch and cash were stolen from him. He was treated at the scene for first aid.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspects are asked to contact the police at 732-928-1111 or through the department’s Stop It app. Charges are only accusations until proven in a court of law.
