JACKSON – Police are investigating a string of vehicle burglaries and at least one theft of a vehicle that occurred overnight in the Whispering Hills development.
There were vehicles parked on roads off Leesville Road that were not locked, police said. These vehicles were opened; money and items were stolen out of them. The vehicle that was stolen had the keys inside.
Anyone with information, or anyone who might be a victim, is urged to call the police department at 732-928-1111. Additionally, anyone with surveillance cameras on their homes are encouraged to check their recordings for anything that might help the investigation.
