JACKSON – Police have released the name of the 28-year-old driver who was killed in a fatal truck crash after veering off the road into the woods.
Kishon Richards, 28, of Toms River was traveling eastbound on Jackson Mills Road around 6:15 p.m. on November 6. For an unknown reason, Richards veered off the road and hit the guardrail in the area of the interstate overpass, police said. The truck continued travelling off the road before going toward the wooded area and colliding into trees.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 2009 Ford Ranger crashed into a wooded area and Richards was partially ejected from the truck. According to police, Richards was not wearing a seat belt.
Richards was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment where he later passed away from his injuries.
