Police Enforcement Detail Issues Dozens Of Summonses

JACKSON – The Jackson Township Police Department engaged in directed enforcement and drunk driving enforcement Oct. 19-20. They were assisted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9 Officers.

On Oct. 19, officers made 96 motor vehicle stops, 45 of which resulted in summonses for various violations.

Three persons were arrested for possession of marijuana.

Two persons were arrested for heroin and drug paraphernalia possession.

One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Two persons were located and arrested on outstanding warrants for burglary and theft.

On Oct. 20, officers the Jackson Police Traffic Safety Unit partnered with Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office detectives for a drunk driving enforcement detail. They made 30 motor vehicle stops, 18 of which resulted in summonses.

One stop resulted in an arrest for an outstanding warrant.

Police made one DWI arrest, which also resulted in resisting arrest and possession of CDS charges.
