Plumsted Plans Music, Fireworks For July 8th

PLUMSTED – Plumsted Township will celebrate the Fourth of July a few days late and and host their annual festivities on Saturday, July 8 at New Egypt High School, 117 Evergreen Road.

Gates open at 4 p.m. for a day of food, music and vendors, including the band Black Brand from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Rob’s 80’s Band from 6 to 9 p.m.

At 9 p.m. the National Anthem will be performed, followed by a show of fireworks.

“This entire event is being paid for by the generous donations of our local businesses at no taxpayer expense,” said Plumsted Mayor Jack A. Trotta.

While the event is free to the public, donations are being accepted at the gate to help pay for the fireworks display. Rain date for the festivities is Sunday, July 9.
