JACKSON – At a recent Township Council meeting, Council President Mordecai Burnstein congratulated Christopher Pollak, who won the council seat in the election.
“On his big win, he will have to wait until the election gets certified which is November 24. The tentative plan is for him to be sworn in at the next meeting which is November 25,” he said. “We look forward to working with him and we look forward to working for all our residents together.”
Pollak, 41, has lived in Jackson for seven years. He works as a building maintenance unit mechanic and owns a martial arts school in town. He said his background managing businesses, mentoring students and leading a chapter of the Guardian Angels — a volunteer community safety group — shaped his desire to serve.
“I’ve been a fighter both in and out of the ring, and that fighting spirit carries into my approach to life and politics,” Pollak said. “I’m ready to fight for what’s right, stand up to the establishment, and serve the people of Jackson.”
In an interview with Jersey Shore Online before his win on Election Day, Pollak said he will cooperate with the current council only when it serves the public. “I will work with the rest of the council when it benefits the people of Jackson, and I will stand firmly against them when it does not,” he said. “My loyalty will be to the people of Jackson.”
Pollak said he would also prioritize transparency. “That means calling out conflicts of interest, keeping residents informed about what’s happening, and speaking up for what’s best for our town,” he said. “When cooperation can benefit the people, I’ll gladly work side by side with others to make it happen.”
