JACKSON – Representatives of the Jackson Police Department will be at the Senior Center located on Don Connor Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 24 for the National Take Back Initiative.
This anonymous program is designed for residents who want to dispose of expired medication which can be disposed of in its original container or removed and disposed directly into the drug disposal box.
Police advise that if the original container is submitted, those doing so should remove the prescription label and any personal identifying information.
Liquid products, such as cough medicine, should remain sealed tightly in their original container to prevent leakage.
Syringes and other sharp objects will not be accepted.
