Jackson Apartment Complex Fire Under Investigation

  JACKSON – Authorities are currently investigating a structure fire that was reported in the early hours on March 29.

  Around 12:21 a.m., multiple officers responded to the area of North New Prospect and Larsen Roads after a resident spotted flames coming from a building located on the corner. Currently, the building is under construction and is slated to be a new apartment complex named “The Paragon.”

  According to police, flames were seen coming from all three floors of the building. Jackson Stations 54, 55, 56 and 57, along with Southward and Freewood Acres Fire Departments from Howell responded and extinguished the fire. In addition, the Ocean County Fire Marshal responded to the scene.

  At this time, the investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Jackson Police Detective Anthony Riso and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
