JACKSON – A new attraction is coming to Six Flags Great Adventure for 2019.

Calypso Springs, described as a “massive activity pool,” will be Hurricane Harbor’s largest new attraction. The water park itself opened in 2000.

“Hurricane Harbor is an industry leader with best-in-class water slides and spectacular, interactive family attractions, and in 2019 we are excited to debut our largest new addition to date with Calypso Springs. This enormous, new pool, expansive lounge deck and dining area will offer the perfect place to enjoy signature, Six Flags summertime thrills,” Six Flags Great Adventure President John Winkler said.

Calypso Springs will include a 100,000-gallon beach “entry-style” pool, a geyser gushing from an obelisk-style fountain, hundreds of chairs for sunbathing on an open lounge deck, oversized umbrellas, a new dining area, and more.

The springs are slated to open in the summer of 2019. It will be located between the Taak It Eez Ee Creek lazy river and Tornado water slide.
