JACKSON – Residents filled the Jackson Shopping Plaza parking lot on North County Line Road to meet and give thanks to the first responders that service their community.
Presented by Jackson PBA No. 168, National Night Out Against Crime is an initiative designed to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. According to National Night Out’s web site, it is an international event celebrated in local communities and military installations around the world.
In Jackson, it gave residents the opportunity to meet members of Jackson’s police, fire department, first aid squads and Police Explorers and see the vehicles up close. There were also plans for demonstrations for a defibrillator and Fatal Vision goggles, as well as other demonstrations.
Inflatable rides, games, prizes, food and drinks kept the party going.
