JACKSON – Police are asking motorists to plan an alternate route Wednesday.
A motor vehicle crash and a downed pole and wires have closed Route 571 (Toms River Road) near the Ridgeway intersection “indefinitely in both directions,” according to Jackson Police.
Detours will be set up down Bowman Road to East Veterans Highway to South Hope Chapel Road for southbound traffic, and opposite for northbound traffic.
