HOWELL – New Friendship Road will be closed overnight from October 8 through 10 for milling and paving work, township officials announced.
The closure will take place each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to Church, Kent, and Friendship Roads during the project.
Residents on Sami Drive and nearby side streets should enter from Church Road, while those living on Heritage Drive and its adjoining streets should access from Friendship Road.
Drivers on Bernard, Annie, Regina, and Eric Drives will be able to reach their homes, but the access point will change as construction progresses.
Police officers will be on-site nightly to help residents and manage traffic. Officials urge motorists to drive slowly through the work area and use caution around workers and equipment.
