Business Owner Arrested For Child Sex Assault

HOWELL – A business owner from Freehold remains behind bars after an alleged sexual assault incident inside his popular Howell store involving a minor.

52-year-old Brian Young, who owns Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, was arrested on Friday, November 9th.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said an investigation began after the Howell Township Police Department received a report that the victim, who is a minor, was inappropriately touched by Young while inside his business.

Young was charged with second degree Sexual Assault and third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The store is located in the Howell Center Shopping Plaza on Route 9.

The defendant remains incarcerated at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, pending his first appearance. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison and would be required to be placed on the Megan’s Law list.

The case is a joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Howell Township Police Department.

A full investigation is underway and police are looking to see if anyone else may have had a similar experience with Young.
