BRICK – A woman was seriously injured in a crash where a Corvette and a truck collided on Cedar Bridge Avenue.

The crash happened on May 2, at around 9 p.m. Police said the Corvette was heading west on Cedar Bridge Avenue, and the Ford F150 was heading east. The Ford had just crossed through the intersection with Wedgewood Drive when the Corvette crossed the center double yellow line and struck it. This caused the truck to run off the road, spin, and overturn. It came to rest upright on the sidewalk and shoulder of the road.

The driver of the truck, Richard Getts, 25, of Brick, had an arm injury. His passenger, Dan Pfeil, 34, of Brick, suffered an arm and facial injury. However, the rear passenger, Kayla Lubiejewski, 21, of Brick had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was treated at the scene and then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with head, neck and back injuries.

The driver of the Corvette, Anthony Natiello, 57, of Forty Fort, PA and his passenger, Brenda King, 76, of South Bound Brook, were uninjured.

Several first responders arrived at the scene, including Brick Police Emergency Medical Services and Brick Township Fire Companies, Station 21 and 22. The Brick Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene to investigate the crash. The department’s Identification Unit also responded to photograph and process the scene. The eastbound lanes were detoured for two hours during investigation.
