BRICK – After a 2-month investigation, a township man was charged with multiple drug offenses.

The man, a resident in the Kentwood Gardens apartments, was charged with first-degree maintaining a drug manufacturing facility and second-degree distribution.

(Police identified the man by name, but a family member reached out to Jersey Shore Online and asked that his name be removed.)

Police began watching the man back in March.

He had been arrested on May 9 after an unrelated motor vehicle stop, when police found him in possession of a pint-sized bottle of Promethazine with Codeine, popularly known as the drug “lean,” or “syrup.”

Later that night, police executed a warrant of his residence where they found thousands of items of contraband, including 748 vaping cartridges full of THC oil, over 4000 unfilled vaping cartridges, several jars containing THC wax and THC oil, a money counter, and thousands of unassembled cartridge boxes and labels, all with a street value of more than $45,000.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Asset Forfeiture Unit is assisting in the investigation. More charges may be pending.
