Shore Woman Arrested For Robbery At Gunpoint

POINT PLEASANT – Point Pleasant Boro Police arrested a Margate woman for a recent incident at a local business where she threatened a store owner with a loaded handgun.

Lindsey Gorman, 37, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree Robbery, 3rd degree Terroristic Threats, 4th degree Theft, disorderly person Defiant Trespass, disorderly person Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and disorderly person Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Dec. 13, police responded to a business located on Arnold Avenue following reports of an “unwanted female on the premises who was said to be in possession of a loaded hand gun,” stated a department release.

Gorman reportedly threatened the store owner, an 81-year old man, with the gun. The man was not injured during the incident.

The incident was investigated by Officer Jesse Waterson. Waterson’s investigation did not disclose an actual handgun, according to police.

Gorman has been transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
