Police Investigate Bomb Scare At Ocean County Hospital

LAKEWOOD – Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC) announced that a bomb threat has been cleared following an investigation by Lakewood police.

The apparent bomb threat was called into MMCSC on the evening of June 26. Lakewood police searched the hospital but nobody was evacuated.

In a statement, Elizabeth Brennan, Regional Director, Marketing & Public Relations of MMCSC revealed that the investigation cleared the hospital, noting that “Hospital leadership worked closely with law enforcement to ensure that patients, staff and physicians remained safe at all times. The hospital has resumed normal activity and is grateful for the support and dedication of the Lakewood Police Department and Canine Unit.”
