BRICK – Police, fire units, dive teams and even a drone responded to the Lake Riviera section of Brick Township Friday after a call came in that someone fell into the lake. Turns out it was not true.

Brick Police Sergeant James Kelly said the erroneous report was made by a woman who was later found to be suffering from a medical episode.

The Pioneer Hose, Breton Woods, Laurelton and Point Boro fire companies responded with their dive teams to search the lake.

An investigation determined that it wasn’t true and all units were canceled.
