BRICK – From February 14 through 20, Cardiac Rehabilitation Week was held, recognizing the major role rehabilitation plays in reducing the effects of heart disease. It was created by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

At Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Brick, residents and care team members celebrated with this year’s “Beating Strong, Living Long” themed event.

Willow Springs offers post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. Their Cardio Pulmonary Care Program aims to promote independence and quality of life through reducing symptoms and decreasing disability in heart and lung patients, while increasing their participation in physical and social activities.

Willow Springs also offers resources that include physician-curated content that address many topics for families of patients and the community. The library and more information on the facility can be found on the facility’s website,
