BRICK – Learn all you need to know about composting and vermicomposting with this free program from the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority!

Brick Utilities will host Sandra Blain-Snow from the Ocean County Department of Solid Waste Management on September 15, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., to discuss what materials you can use from your household waste stream to create a natural, rich soil amendment for your plants.

Composting improves soil health, reduces the need for chemical fertilizers, conserves water and reduces stormwater runoff into our streams.

Registration is required. To register, contact Shari Kondrup at 732-701-4282 or skondrup@brickmua.com.

This free educational program is part of the Brick Utilities’ “Weekend at the Reservoir” educational program, a free community education program which focuses on local water resources and how to conserve water.
