
BRICK — Firefighters swiftly brought a late-night blaze under control after flames tore through the first floor of an apartment building on Northrup Drive, officials confirmed.
The Laurelton Fire Company No. 1 was the first on scene on December 28 after dispatchers received reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions and immediately launched aggressive suppression efforts to stop the flames from spreading throughout the building.
Thanks to the rapid response, the blaze was contained in a short time. Mutual aid fire companies assisted in the effort, supplying additional personnel and equipment.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the cause is now under probe.
