BRICK – Township EMS/Rescue has elevated EMT Ryan Trapp to the rank of Senior EMT, with the promotion taking effect this month.
Trapp began his EMS career in 2010 after earning his EMT-B certification. He joined Brick Township EMS/Rescue in 2016 as a part-time EMT and moved into a full-time role in 2019.
Over the years, he has taken on numerous responsibilities within the department, including serving with the New Jersey EMS Task Force, the Technical Rescue Team, Tactical EMS, and the Special Operations Division. He also worked as a field training officer and most recently served as acting Senior EMT.
In addition to his EMS work, Trapp is a firefighter and has been involved with several other emergency and fire service agencies, including the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Officials said he brings more than 15 years of emergency services experience to his new leadership role.
Trapp will be assigned to EMS Battalion 353 and is expected to take command of the department’s Special Operations Division in 2026.
The department congratulated Trapp on the promotion and wished him success as he steps into the new position.
