LAKEWOOD – An out-of-control ambulance struck a long-time crossing guard, injuring his leg, reports said.
Andrew Howard, the crossing guard, was hit when a private service ambulance, attempting to go around a vehicle, swerved and jumped the curb onto a sidewalk on River Avenue Feb. 25.
The Lakewood Scoop reported Howard was treated at the scene by Lakewood Hatzolah and Lakewood EMS before taken to a local hospital.
Lakewood Police are investigating.
