
OCEAN COUNTY – Five people were treated for injuries after an armored security truck and a SUV collided on a Garden State Parkway exit ramp in Ocean County, authorities said.
New Jersey State Police said the crash happened shortly before noon on December 19 on the northbound Exit 91 ramp near the Burrsville Road interchange. The collision involved a Peterbilt armored truck operated by GardaWorld Security and a Toyota SUV.
The driver of the armored vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Toyota and three passengers were also taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
State troopers were dispatched to the scene at 11:57 a.m. The ramp area experienced temporary disruptions as emergency crews responded.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no further information was immediately released by authorities.
