TOMS RIVER – As expected, the man accused of plowing into a gaggle of geese was served more summonses, this time from the state.
Quintin Alec-Manning, 20, of Brick, was hit with 15 summonses from the New Jersey State Division of Fish and Wildlife for running over and killing five geese at the Indian Head Shopping Center on Route 9 North May 29.
The state charged him with five counts each of “did kill wildlife with the aid of a motor vehicle,” “did take geese in manner other than prescribed,” and “did take geese during closed hunting season.”
That’s in addition to charges filed by Toms River, five counts of third-degree animal cruelty.
Alec-Manning has a municipal court appearance scheduled for 9 a.m. June 13 in Toms River.
