Brick Man Arrested In Filing False Public Government Records Case

BRICK – A Brick man claiming to be Jesus was arrested not on false charges, but on filing a false public instruments.

This morning, officials from the prosecutor’s office arrested Karl P. Scheufler, 47, of Brick, using the Greek spelling of Jesus, “Iesus: the Christ, an irrevocable trust,” who currently goes by “Without Prejudice.”

Scheufler allegedly filed false uniform commercial code financing statements (liens) against several victims from his Brick home. Several victims who’ve had dealings with Scheufler reported these liens to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

Scheufler has been released, pending a court appearance. The prosecutor’s office didn’t say if Barabbas had to stay behind so Iesus could be released.
