LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Family members said that a Brick man’s medical condition caused him to blurt out a bombing threat about Al-Qaida to a Disney intern.

Gregory Lazarchick, 56, was charged with false report of a bombing after telling a Walt Disney World hotel worker, “Al-Qaida sent me here to blow the place up,” according to a report made by WFTV9, an ABC station in Florida.

His comments were in response to a greeter telling him to have a great day.

The incident happened on July 21. The greeter, who was an intern, said that he believed Lazarchick to be serious, according to the report.

Lazarchick told investigators he was joking, and apologized for his remarks, according to the report. His sister stated that a head injury suffered four years ago makes him sometimes say inappropriate things but that they are harmless.
