BRICK – Township lifeguards will carry out a simulated boating accident drill with the U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Brick Township Police Department and Brick Township EMS on July 24.
The drill will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Brick Beach III, 440 Route 35 North.
“We conduct annual rescue drills such as this in order to better prepare our lifeguards for every possible scenario,” Dan Santaniello, Superintendent of Recreation, said. “By involving local, county, state and federal agencies we’re able to give our lifeguards the knowledge and experience they need to keep our beaches safe.”
