LAKEWOOD – The Asbury Park Police Department Street Crimes Unit, working with Lakewood Police, have made one arrest in the carjacking and stabbing of a township man Jan. 13.
Stanin Morgan, 25, of Neptune was arrested and charged with robbery, aggravated assault and other weapons violations Jan. 16. He’s being lodged in Ocean County Jail.
Morgan was allegedly one of three men who forcibly removed a man from his BMW on East Spruce Street, stabbing him in the head and chest. That man, Engel Paulino, 24, was taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Paulino’s 2007 BMW was recovered from Neptune Township and transported back to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for evidence recovery.
The other two suspects remain at large.
