Arrest Made In Brick Hit & Run

BRICK – A 75-year-old Brick man was charged in relation to a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

Investigations led law enforcement officials to a 2007 Ford Freestyle and its owner, Michael Beilis, Brick, who struck a pedestrian early morning Wednesday on Herbertsville Road.

Tyrone Stafford, 39, Brick, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Beilis voluntarily went to police headquarters to speak with investigators. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing serious injury and failure to report an accident. He was processed and released.
