BRICK – Township residents and visitors may get a look at military exercises in the sky Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Air Force will be conducting the exercises in Brick (and Bedminster in Somerset County) from approximately 10-11:30 a.m.

Flights will be at approximately 3,500 feet and may be visible from the ground.

The exercise, called Falcon Hawk, will be conducted by the Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, working with the Eastern Air Defense Sector and the FAA. Air Force F-16 and Civil Air Patrol C-182 will be flying. The exercises help sharpen the Command’s intercept and identification operations.

These flights have been conducted throughout the U.S. and Canada since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
