BEACHWOOD — Two men were arrested and a drug operation dismantled following the execution of a narcotics search warrant at a Beachwood home, police announced.
Juan F. Florez-Castano, 32, and Andres Mauricio Restrepo-Gil, 31, were taken into custody on July 18 after Beachwood police, with assistance from the Ocean County SWAT Team, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, searched a residence at 233 Beachwood Boulevard.
Both men were charged with first-degree maintaining a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) production facility, second-degree distribution of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Restrepo-Gil also faces a third-degree charge for cocaine possession.
The suspects were lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
Police thanked all assisting agencies, including Beachwood Code Enforcement, for their role in the safe execution of the search warrant.
