BERKELEY — Three people were taken to the hospital after a two-car crash at Davenport Road and Prince Charles Drive, police said.
Berkeley Township Police officers responded around 3:51 p.m. November 9 and found the driver of a 2024 Hyundai Venue trapped inside the vehicle, complaining of leg pain. A juvenile passenger in the same car reported chest pain, according to authorities.
The Manitou Fire Department helped free the occupants, while Berkeley Township EMS transported them, along with the driver of the second vehicle — a 2006 Jeep Wrangler — to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the crash occurred when the Hyundai, traveling north on Prince Charles Drive, entered the roadway and struck the eastbound Jeep on Davenport Road.
The roadway was briefly closed while tow trucks cleared the scene.
Patrolman Wahl is continuing the investigation.
