BERKELEY – A patient at a rehabilitation center was sentenced to 120 days in Ocean County Jail after attacking a nurse in a sexual manner.
David Taber, 67, of Berkeley, was a patient at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation in Berkeley. On March 22, 2023, a nurse was trying to give him medication when he touched her breast without her consent, placed her in a bear hug, and attempted to pull down her pants. A co-worker intervened to separate the two.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer commended the diligence and dedication of Assistant Prosecutor Julie Peterson who handled the case on behalf of the State. He also extended his gratitude to the Berkeley Township Police Department for their efforts in connection with this investigation.
