BERKELEY – A fundraiser is underway to support Central Regional High School senior Dayton Frulio, who is facing a difficult battle with brain cancer.

Dayton, a standout athlete on the Golden Eagles football and baseball teams, recently underwent emergency surgery after doctors discovered a brain tumor. Instead of spending his senior year on the playing field, he now faces ongoing treatments, follow-up surgeries, and frequent medical appointments.

Known for his determination on the field and his ability to lift up those around him off the field, Dayton has approached his diagnosis with courage, positivity, and humor, according to family friends.

His parents, Jerry and Jo-Dee Frulio, have long been active in the community. Now, supporters are asking neighbors and friends to give back to the family as they manage overwhelming medical costs, travel for care, and time away from work.

“Every donation, no matter the size, helps ease the financial burden and allows them to focus on what truly matters: Dayton’s health and healing,” organizers said.

Contributions can be made through GoFundMe.
