Firefighters Battle Blaze In Bayville

BAYVILLE — Fire crews from multiple agencies responded to a structure fire on Morris Boulevard on the evening of July 1, according to a social media post from Bayville Volunteer Fire Company.

The call came in at approximately 9:40 p.m. Chief 1700 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire.

After conducting a scene size-up, he established Bayville Command, assigning Captain 1720 as Operations Officer.

Responding apparatus from Station 17 included Engine 1731, Rescue 1713, Engine 1741, Ladder 1725, and Utility 1724. Crews conducted fire suppression operations while mutual aid support was provided by several area departments.

Assisting agencies included the Manitou Park Fire Company, Pinewald Pioneer Fire Company, Forked River Fire Company (Rapid Intervention Team), Pine Beach Fire Company, Lanoka Harbor Fire Company, Ocean County Fire Coordinators, Berkeley Township Police Department, and Berkeley Township First Aid Squad.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.
